ACOUSTIC FARMERS
(late 1983 - early 1984)
Marco Martella and I had been singing and playing guitar together since the late 70's just for our private entertainment.
What brought us together was the same undying passion for West Coast music, our pleasure to create complicated harmony vocals
which made us as happy as kids in a candy store every time our voices sounded like a single bigger one. It was like
they were bound to meet somewhere along this highway to resonate together.
In the fall of 1983, Alberto Mieli joined us, bringing his solid finger-picking experience and songs. Encouraged by the sound we produced,
we made an excellent debut at the glorious, and now sadly gone, Folkstudio in Rome and settled on a name which suited to our music.
However, The Acoustic Farmers lasted for only one more gig that took place in January 1984.
The band members continued to play together, usually in combinations of two, and the seeds of a new band had already been planted.
