.: ANDREA OGGIONI :.
In late 1989 I was looking for a studio to record some of my demos.
I found 'La Stanza' ('The Room'), a tiny studio run by Andrea Oggioni and Massimo Di Gianvincenzo
in one of the rooms of Andrea's apartment.
I was immediately impressed by Andrea's ability to capture
the essence of my ideas and by his instrumental skills, both as a bass player
(Andrea had subbed for James Brown's bass player at a gig in Rome!) and also as a guitarist,
particularly on the classical guitar.
A few years later, Andrea moved to a new place
and he built his new and bigger studio, Le Risonanze, where I like to go whenever I have a bunch of new songs
I want to cut demos of.
Beyond his usual studio activities, a few years ago Andrea and his wife Sandra Cotronei brought
Le Mele - a beautiful project
of children songs sung by the Piccole Risonanze choir – to fruition.
