  •    THE BLUE FLARES (4)
       (spring 1993 - autumn 1994)

In early 1993 I played a bunch of solo gigs and I invited several old friends to join me on stage in a small pub in Roma and have fun.
After an exciting trip to California, where I performed with Billy Talbot and Sonny Mone in a couple of clubs in Los Angeles, I came home with the idea of revamping The Blue Flares. Originally Stefano Frollano was also involved but a conflict of schedules didn't allow him to rehearse with the band on permanent basis.
So Massimo Rossetti, Roberto Pezzuoli and me began performing as an acoustic trio in small pubs and tiny coffehouses. After a while, to fatten out our sound, we enrolled Massimo Di Gianvincenzo on bass, Amra Ziga on accordion and Manrico Marcucci on fiddle.
