In the spring of 1981 I spent a few days visiting Venice on a school trip.
My school-mate Ivan Tripodi and I brought our guitars and together we serenaded our friends and the tourists,
with a repertoire featuring Italian songs, Simon & Garfunkel, America and CSN&Y.
It was a sweet time by the lagoon. Ivan was already playing his songs at the time, in the vein of those Italian
singer-songwriters who had an influence on him like Pino Daniele, Fabrizio De Andrč e Edoardo Bennato.
We continued to play together every now and then and had our major exposure in 1982 performing as a duo at our school's annual music festival.
