.: MARCO CAMPANARI :.
Playing with Marco Campanari has been quite an experience. Though we both share a common passion for football,
both as amateur players and club supporters, Marco's heavy-metal roots are worlds apart from my West-Coast music influences.
We found some common ground and what counted was the music we made together.
A solid and creative bass player,
Marco began playing metal with Ambush (1986-89), then rock-blues with Bread Line (they're still playing together every once in a while),
then with Delgado (1992-93), then his big time with local favourites Latte e i Suoi Derivati (more than 120 gigs between 1994 and 1995).
Between 1996 and 1998 Marco played with Stefano Frollano and me, both on some recording sessions and at a few gigs,
billed as Thanks No Drums. In the meantime he was also keeping the groove for Stellato, with whom he played until 2000.
I definitely miss his witty remarks and unpredictable bass lines and I hope someday we'll be making more music together.
