.: MASSIMO DI GIANVINCENZO :.
Music has proved a great way to meet some unique individuals, and Massimo Di Gianvincenzo is definitely one of them.
A melodic bass-player, Massimo is one of those unpredictable characters who always keep you on your toes
(with all the benefits and the risks involved). We began working together when I was recording some demos of my own songs
in late 1989 / early 1990 at La Stanza, the small recording studio he was operating in along with his pal Andrea Oggioni.
Three years later Massimo was enrolled as bass player in the nth version of Blue Flares, featuring myself
and Massimo Rossetti as the only original members, plus Roberto Pezzuoli (on guitar & vocals) and a little while later Amra Ziga
on accordion and Manrico Mancucci on violin.
A connoisseur of fine wines, Massimo was always the right person
to appreciate a new bottle with and definitely a great guy when he was on.
Alas his whereabouts are unknown to me now. I hope he is still playing great music and I wish him all the best.
