.: MASSIMO ROSSETTI :.
The oldest memory I have of Massimo Rossetti is a letter I received from him when I was running the CSN&Y magazine “Wooden Nickel”.
He wrote that he was a big fan and had already bought Four Way Street ten times because he had worn out all the copies after intensive listenings.
Author of some great songs and a good singer, Rossetti was one of the original Blue Flares. We recorded a demo together,
and the tape caught the interest of Billy Talbot (the Neil Young & Crazy Horse bass player) and of other folks at WEA International.
Out of the blue, Massimo backed away from it all, and vanished without leaving a note.
We joined forces again in 1993, played many gigs together
and had fun for a couple of years but on the eve of some new projects his dark side surfaced once again. After a long hiatus, in 2006 we began to make music together again: at last Max is back in my musical world to paint it colourfully with his harmony vocals, his songs and a renewed friendship. |
