THANKS NO DRUMS (late 1996 - 1998)
Thanks No Drums was an acoustic trio I put together with Stefano Frollano and Marco Campanari.
We played way more rehearsals than gigs and probably this was the reason that didn't make the band last long enough to enjoy
all the hard work we put into this project.
With the aim of pleasing our audience, bar customers and waitresses,
we largely stuck to a repertoire of covers, though we did throw in a few of our own songs here and there.
For a while - fooling with the expectations set by the band's name - we even rehearsed with a drummer, Daniele Marchionni,
who joined us on a gig live on a local TV.
In the end though, the effort we put in to rehearsals didn't translate into a full gig sheet,
though the musicians in TND were the core of the team involved in the first recording sessions of some original
songs written by Frollano and me.
