.: LIBERTEATRO :.
january 2005
30 january - Last show of 'Liberteatro'. Guests are the Caravan Night Orchestra,
Federico Scribani (singer of Buscaja, band covering the songbook of Fred Buscaglione), Sylvie Genovese and Lorena Proietti.
29 january - Tonight there's a number of guests performing at 'Liberteatro': Sylvie Genovese is back, then there is the
the Caravan Night Orchestra, conducted by Stefano Scatozza (of Acustimantico's fame),
and singer Lorena Proietti. The full orchestra backs FL on "Knockin' On Heaven's Door".
22 january - FL delivers a new version of "Terre Lontane", backed by
Stefano Fedele on guitar and vocals. Stefano is a singer-songwriter from Manzano (Udine)
with a unique guitar-technique, very similar to Michael Hedges style. At 'Liberteatro' he performs one of his own brilliant compositions,
a song he sings in 'friulano', a local dialect from the north-east side of Italy where he actually comes from.
13 january - Furio Valitutti (guitar), Riccardo Romano (keyboards), Daniele Pomo (drums), Roberto Aversano (sax),
Marina de Sanctis (voice), Andrea Grossi (upright bass) are the classy musicians of the 'Carte di Bordo' band. Night after night
they are always able to outdo themselves and to bring the music to higher levels of excellence.
8 january - Tonight's guest of 'Liberteatro' is Andrea Luciani
who opens the show with an excellent version of 'Wandering', a traditional tune which James Taylor recorded for his album 'Gorilla'.
FL sings harmony vocals on it. Later Andrea joins FL and the 'Carte di Bordo' band for a fine rendition of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door".
5 january - Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is added to the show. FL and Francesco Bonelli
share lead vocals on it backed by the whole 'Carte di Bordo' band.
4 january - Opening of 'Liberteatro' 2005. Andrea Grossi replaces Roberto Stilo on upright bass.
december 2004
29 dicembre - 'Liberteatro' 2005 opens on January 4th. Look at the flyer
for further info.
19 december - On the last 2004 show of 'Liberteatro', the set-list of the show
was slightly changed and FL opened the section dedicated to the poetry of Pablo Neruda. Later the band
of 'Carte di Bordo' backed him on a totally impromptu version of 'Tutto Va Bene'.
Playing with those wonderful musicians made it everything beautiful and easy. See you in 2005!
15 december - Tonight's guest was Luisa Capuani, who added
mesmerizing harmony vocals on 'Tutto Va Bene' and 'Terre Lontane'. Luisa sang a beautiful lead on
the second verse of the latter, adding much to the song. Roberto Aversano and his sax brought
'Tutto Va Bene' into a totally unexplored territory. Unforgettable night!
10 december - Alessandro De Vito
opened the third night of 'Liberteatro' singing his beautiful piano-song 'Milioni di Miliardi'.
Later FL delivered a revised version of 'Tutto Va Bene', slower and blue tinged, with lyrics
finding new spaces within the diluted music. Tonight's journey closed on the optimistic notes of 'Terre Lontane'.
9 december - On the second night of 'Liberteatro', guest appearances by Stefano Scatozza of Acustimantico and Sylvie Genovese.
8 december - Opening of 'Liberteatro' at Teatro Politecnico.
FL - solo & acoustic - sang two of his songs: 'Terre Lontane' was the opening number and then
Francesco wrapped up the 'Dottor Divago' monologue (from 'Teatro 2' by Stefano Benni) with 'Tutto Va Bene',
one of the songs which will be the core of his 2005 electric concerts.
november 2004
FL is invited to join the show 'Liberteatro' by Francesco Bonelli
at Teatro Politecnico, via G.B. Tiepolo 13/a (Flaminio), Roma, 8 - 19 december.
